History: Cost estimator for Ackroyd, Inc., Seattle, WA; quantity surveying/cost estimating firm in mid-1980s. After leaving Ackroyd, worked as an independent estimator, providing calculated quantities for general contractors. Participated in 40 Value Engineering Studies involving new schools, libraries, and transit facilities. As independent contractor for R.L. Angeline; worked for a division of Boeing, preparing rough order of magnitude, bid comparison, trade studies, and field order estimates for the Boeing Everett 777 Expansion Project. Also assisted construction management in the negotiation of change orders. Seversen Construction Company: As chief estimator, competitively bid 40 projects, including a sewer treatment plant, underground tank removals, apartments, condos, Navy housing remodels, an EPA hazmat addition located in Manchester, Washington, and a lemur exhibit at Woodland Park Zoo. C3 Management Group: Produced conceptual and schematic estimates on schools, firehouses, a West Seattle Community Center, an Oregon Coast Guard boat mooring facility, a University of Washington odor control facility, and a San Diego Zoo exhibit.
